Ingrid Martinez , Head Teacher

My name is Ingrid Martinez.  Long ago, I set out on a voyage to find a job that would bring meaning to my life. I walked miles and miles and came across many jobs.  One day I bumped into C Street; it changed the course of my life completely!  Because of ambition and love for kids, I give 110% every day. 

I love the preschool program and I am thrilled to work with elementary kids during C Street’s summer program; the Theatre Camp.

My goal is to complete a teaching degree at the University of Utah.  Teaching is really what I'm meant to do.  I eventually want to be a high school teacher covering the subjects of Theater and English.  However, I am very content with where I am at this point in life!

I believe that your mood reflects on the children your working with, so if you come to work with a bad attitude, that is what you're going to get out of your class.  I believe that children need to have stability in their lives so that their voyage of self-discovery and self-expression doesn't become disturbed.  I also believe in the word: FUN!  School can be educational and fun . Those two words are beautiful thing when combined together.  Children develop a love for learning when information is given to them in a fun way. This is the kind of environment I strive for in my classroom: a place where there is lots of enthusiasm, stability, and educational FUN!
