Ashley Salcedo, Administrative Assistant
Hello there! My name is Ashley Salcedo and I am absolutely excited to be working here at C Street! I love working with children and seeing the developmental changes in each one of them.
To let you know a little about myself: I am originally from Southern California and moved to Utah about 2 years ago. I am the oldest of 9 children and love it! I helped my mother with my younger siblings ever since I can remember and found that caretaking was my special talent.
I have worked in the field of child development for over 6 years. One of my very first jobs was working in a pre-school as a teacher’s assistant when I was just a teenager! I worked with all age groups, infants to school age, at that Center. From that moment on I knew what I wanted to do as a career!
I attended California State University San Bernardino and took 3 years in Early Child Education. There I worked at the Children’s Center on campus as an assistant teacher; my focus was on the 3 year old and 4 year olds! In between working at the Children’s Center at Cal State, I also volunteered as a Sunday school teacher for the 8th grade girls; how interesting that was!
When I left there, I worked for a private Christian facility (St. John’s Lutheran Child Care Center) in California. My position there was as a Lead Teacher for the 3 year olds....and man that was a fun age! I left that amazing school to challenge myself with a new environment, hence Utah! Now I am totally excited to interact with and help educate your children here at C Street.

Hi! My name is Anna and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to get to know your children and help them grow! I love spending time with children; It is such a humbling experience. They are so innocent and curious!
A little about me:
I grew up in Orange County, California with my five siblings. I was right in the middle of them all! I had a great childhood and can certainly give credit for that to my early childhood education! I attended pre-school from 3-4 and know that it truly helped me define who I am....even at 3! When I was 5 I started kindergarten at LaVeta Elementary. It was probably the best class I’ve ever taken. Mrs. Salling (my teacher) shared so many wonderful experiences with us and I’m forever grateful!
Halfway through my sophomore year in high school my family and I moved to Riverton, Utah. It was strange being up-rooted from my home but I think, all in all, the move was a great success! In high school I participated in music therapy (for the special education classes), journalism and many music programs.
After high school I was awarded a full tuition scholarship to Snow College for my test scores on my ACT. I spent a year down there. I learned a lot and, more importantly, made life-long friends!
Since I’ve been back from school I’ve been trying to figure out what I want to do with my life. I worked at Claire’s for the majority of the time and it was there I realized how much I truly love working with children and making them happy!
I’m hoping to further my education in teaching and I'm looking forward to spending as much time as possible with these children!

My name is Alex Worley and I am originally from east Tennessee. I moved to Utah two years ago after being a foster child mentor and college student. I was a foster child myself and have had years of experience with children of many backgrounds, ages, and diversities.
I attended college for two years at MTSU and now plan on dedicating my life to working with children, especially children in foster care.
As an artist, I feel that the children's wonderful imaginations are a gift to this world. When not learning from them, I enjoy creative writing, reading, and playing piano. Thank you.
