Annie Haile, Director
ahaile[at]fpcslc[dot]org
Hi, I’m Annie, the Director of C Street Child Development Center. I would like to introduce myself to you, so that you know a little bit about me when we meet. I have grown up at First Presbyterian Church. As a result, I know many people from the church. The first time I started teaching was when I was 15 years old. I loved teaching and have been doing it ever since. I have been the Director at C Street since August 1999.
To start with a more personal side of me, which you will find I am very open about: I grew up in Farmington with my younger brother and both of my parents. My first challenge in life came at the age of two when the doctors discovered that I had cancer in my left eye. They quickly removed my eye. In place of my real eye, I now have a hand-painted prosthetic eye.
In May 1999, I graduated from Utah State University cum laude with an honors degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. Ever since I applied for this position, ideas for improvement have been popping into my head. We have made tremendous improvements here at C Street over the past few years. I hope that you will also bring your ideas to my attention; so that as we expand our Center, we can implement them.
If you ever have any questions, I would love to discuss them with you, so please come and see me.

Hello everyone! My name is Christine and I am your Associate Director here at
C Street! I am thrilled to be here and be a part of your child’s earliest educational experiences.
I am a mother of two myself; my son was born in 1996 and my daughter was born in 2003. I have been involved in early childhood education since 1999 when I moved back to Utah and began looking at preschools options for my son. Astonished at the lack of high quality programs in Utah, I realized that in order to make a difference you just have to jump in and get dirty sometimes....literally! Well, and truth be told, I like to hover so this worked out great for both of us--me especially. It didn't take long to realize that the field really needed more dedicated, enthusiastic and serious professionals to start moving Utah in the right direction. So, here I am...over a decade later...still pushing the boundaries...and loving every minute of a career that chose me!
Personal interests of mine, which you'll find any of the lovely ladies I work with can attest to, is I absolutely love fishing! I like to find reasons, any reason, to go up to the lake and smuggle my fishing pole along (as if they didn't expect it or weren't going to see it). I love to camp, canoe, BBQ, visit tiny towns and mingle with local folk (until they start giving me that look of "yeah, you don't belong here and you're kind of creepy"), take road trips, watch movies, and best of all--grab a canoe, head up to the mountains, paddle out, close my eyes, and listen to the sounds that our mountains offer us. (Sigh) (Sigh again...)
I was awarded my Child Development Associate Credential in 2002, National Administrators Credential in 2004, and several State Endorsements, including: Center Director, Infant/Toddler, and Children with Special Needs between 2002 and 2005. I am also currently working towards my Bachelors in Developmental Psychology with an emphasis in Child Development.
Thank you again for visiting C Street's website and getting to know more about me so we can become better aquainted. Hope to hear from you soon!
Please contact me if you have any questions about C Street or need information not posted on this website. I love hearing ideas for improvement! My e-mail is above. Thanks.
